The News

Well, I found out through another source that I was going to be teaching class on Saturday. I suppose that my plan was approved, but I hadn't had anything prepared. I was kind of thrown off since I knew I should have been prepared for that, but I wasn't. I didn't know why either. All the other teachers had my plan and it was approved 4th period during the English Department meeting. I sensed that some of my ideas were being taken by other teachers, but hey, I'm not complaining. If they are being stolen and used by other teachers, that validates that they were good ideas and the students benefit. Besides I always do things a tad bit different than all of them anyways. Everyone's got their own way of doing things. But then I needed to get started on my materials right away. This had taken much more time that I could have possibly imagine, only because I was going lazy about it.

I had taken the time to buy some paper with another teacher who gave me some insights on how she goes about teaching. I think it was very informative and I'll need to put them into action. Acutally, I need to put my own ideas into action too. I've always been creative, but sometimes lacked the capacity to be able to do it to the best of my abilities. I get a chance Saturday, so I'll see how it goes.
