Open School Day Two
Today, I only have two classes, so I arrived later than usual. The first class was 8th grade, with two parents watching. This class isn't the greatest to work with, but they were better today. They always finds way to cheat and get out of doing things, so I've got to be aware of that when I start teaching this class solo.
The second class was with 11th grade. They are actually fun to work with. They are bright girls and funny. But slack off too much because the material is too easy for them. But it's fun to watch them work. After my classes though, I stuck around to study some Japanese. I figure Fridays are a good day to study for myself. But I didn't end up leaving till very late today. I was about to call it quits around 3pm, but then the Japanese Langauage teacher gave me another book to read about Japanese festivals and a tad bit on Japanese culture. It was interesting, although it took another 3 hours to finish it. Teachers started coming up to me to talk about it. It's the same book they use as a text for visiting American students from their sister school. It was insightful, because I learned why they have so many festivals and why it came to be.
After that I went home, completely exhausted.
