Yoke Meeting

Today there was a meeting with all the members of the exchange, but only 6 of them showed up. They are all busy people. I didn't understand much, but they all took pictures of the event and it seemed as if they had fun in San Diego, even though it rained. It seemed interesting how everything came together. They are working on putting together a booklet about their adventure. It should be pretty good.

Afterwards, the guys and one of the girls went to get something to eat. There was little festival going on outside of the Pacifico Yokohama so we decided to take a look. We all bought some furaku curry, and it was really good. Since it was warm and on cold day. We ate it on the seaside so we had a great view of the bay. It was nice. After lunch we went back towards Sakuragicho station, and stopped off in the Landmark tower to look at a Book store. I was thinking about buying the next Dan Brown book here, but they don't have a hard back copy. I'm running out of hope of buying a hard back copy and I think I'll have to go back to buying it paper back. From there we split up and went back home.

One of the members was going on the same train as me and actually lives one train station away. He works in Hongodai as a cram school teacher. I found that very interesting and cool. We tried to communicate as best as we could, since his English was limited and My Japanese is worse. It was good because it was actually the first time I've even talked to him.

When I got home, I just relaxed a bit and then I started to cook. I made a nice noodle dish with shrimp, carrots, scrambled eggs, and bak choy. It was really nice and I'm surprised I made it. I'm also surprised it was good. I didn't expect to cook, but since I had the time, I did it anyways. I need to get rid of all the things in my refrigerator or it'll all go bad.

After dinner and shower and everything I called up YYto. It's his birthday in a few days, and my phone will expire so I won't be able to send e-mail or give a call so I decided to give him a ring. It was nice to talk to him. After we hung up the phone, I started researching which new phone to buy. I decided that Vodafone V801SA would be the best, but I'm also looking at DoCoMo to see how much it will cost me. Either way it's going to be about $70/ month out of my pocket for something I hardly even use to begin with. Since my pre-paid phone costs only $30 for 3 months. But then if I'm going to get a phone, I think now would be the best time, since I have to sign up for a year contract. But I'm going to explore my options.
