Happy New Year!

I spent this new year with my host family, TTki. Once again, I was sleeping late last night, so got up late too. It's really a waste of my sunshine, although today there was no sunshine. It was SNOWING. How cool to have a White New Years day, too bad I was freezing my ass off. It's so hard to do things when it's so damn cold. I had a hard time just to get out of bed. But dinner tonight was actually much earlier. They had told me to come to dinner at 6pm, but actually it started at 4pm. I had gone to Yamada Denki to get some DVD-Rs so TTki could burn me some DVD of movies and such. I was walking and it was cold. I hadn't eaten anything either, so I was going to grab something to eat, but didn't because dinner would be ready right when I got back home.

Tonight was with TTki's dad's Junior High school friends. That's quite amazing I think because friends from Junior high school. I mean I don't have friends from Junior high school, and he already has children in university. It's really shocking. They were really really really drunkards. They like to drink, and when TTki had told me that, I thought he was just making that up. But they drank so much. They really liked the whiskey that I gave them for Christmas. That was good, and they said that one of the friends was the first time she got drunk. Because she's usually able to handle the alcohol, but the stuff I bought was strong enough to put her out.

There were two girls there that were pretty cute. Kinda of strange to say, but they were the daughters of TTki's Dad's friends. One was older than me by a year and she was medical technician, and the other was 22. I guess she was a student, but I can't be sure since she left only after me being there for 30 minutes. That's a good start to a new year I think. But it's not like anything would happen either. The communication factor is still a big problem. I have agreed to teach some of the parents and one of the daughters to speak English. And I guess that I really should start to plan my private English lessons. Actually it was a really fun group to be around with since they were drunk off their ass it was interesting to watch. They they were nice people to begin with too. Some people were playing Mahjonng too.

TTki had lost $45 bucks at the end of the night and TTki's dad had won about $35. After dinner, I went with some of the parents to go Karaoke. That in itself was a fun experience. We played some video games before we went to the Karaoke box. I really liked them, they were fun, even though they were at least 20 years older than I was. We didn't get home till around 3am.
