Laundry, Dinner and new student

I was invited by MTki’s to go over to her house for some dinner. I had done some laundry during the day after I got a good night’s rest. I slept for a really long time and felt like I caught up on all the sleep that I needed from the two weeks of work that I had. I had a full load of clothes to wash since I didn’t get a chance with so much going on and taking care of my roommate for the time he was spending in Japan. All and all, I think that experience was good for him. I think it was also good for me too. I think that I learned a lot from having a roommate since I haven’t had one before. It was interesting how I had to adjust to sharing things that I normally didn’t care about. I mean my room was messy before so I guess it was good that I cleaned up my room.

While I was over at MTki’s house, I was trying to fix the wireless internet connection. It seems as if she didn’t have a connection either. It was so bad that the cable to the machine wasn’t able to establish a connection, which was an extreme bummer to me. I miss my internet and was doing everything that I knew that would work in America to fix it. Some how it just didn’t work and I wasn’t able to get a connection. I couldn’t get it working either. I was pissed off. HTki’s friend wasn’t able to fix it either and even after we called the modem company’s number. Nothing was fixed.

Some time later, we all got together for some dinner, which was nice, since I was incredibly hungry. I was there a little early and was talking to a few of their family’s friends. They were the same people that I met during the beginning of the New Year. There were a few other people that I didn’t know, and never really talked to them either. There were some children there too. And some time later, my newest student came. It was one of the younger girls that I met from the New Years party. I had only seen her for a split second before she left to go to work. She looks to be about my age and potentially younger. She’s one of those cutesy type of Japanese girl. She wants to learn English and is willing to pay me for lessons. So I’m game. I really can’t tell her age, but I remember that she told me when we first met. Anyways, it doesn’t matter.

I started giving her an English conversation lesson tonight, just to see her level. It’s not very high to say the least. She’s got a lot of work ahead of her if she wants to learn. But I think I can do a little to help her improve. She’s quite busy working at an Okinawan restaurant. I’m not sure if she’s a student too, but I will need to find out more about her when we meet in the coming week.
