mom and sister's birthday

I seem to be on a streak of not doing anything. I spent today, much like yesterday. But I didn’t talk to anyone; I just watched a lot of TV too. I haven’t done that in awhile. I’ve been so bad about that, so I think I’ve got to work on a plan to go out and do some exploring.

Later in the evening I was working on a plan to do things that I haven’t done. I looked at some of those brochures that I got for RW when he was here on his trip and it turned out that I haven’t done a lot of those things either. I mean there are places that he’s been to that I haven’t. He’s been to Meiji-Jingu shrine, which is Japan’s biggest and most precious. Even though I’ve been to the area a lot, I just never have been inside, I’ve been to the gateway to the shrine, just never went in.

I have wanted to prepare tomorrow’s lesson for MO, but I’ve been lazy to do even that. I have a majority of that stuff done already; I just need to organize it better and stuff. I mean the idea has been set for the first 7 lessons or so. And for my other lessons for “A” are fairly easy. I think I’ve got to kick it up a notch to make it more interesting even though she missed the lesson for this week. We’ll have to see how things go later. Later in the evening though, I had received some phone calls, which isn’t usual. I got one from a stranger calling the wrong number and 3 from a teacher that I’m supposed to meet and have dinner at her house. I was in the other room so I didn’t hear it, but I’m sure she’ll call back again tonight. I got an e-mail from MO’s mom letting me know that MO has a fever and has to cancel the lesson for tomorrow. Therefore, I didn’t have any English lessons for this week. If I would have known that earlier, I might have gone on an excursion somewhere far, but I highly doubt it. I’ve really got to get it together and at the very least be productive. I haven’t even been studying Japanese or reading any of my other books. I was thinking about just jumping on the train to read the books and don’t go anywhere in particular, just to be on the train and read.
