Exodus of Yamanashi and Genesis of EK's friends
We all had a little breakfast pow wow before the adults had to go back to Tokyo. They had something they needed to do today, I’m not sure what they needed to do, but they seemed like they were in a hurry. I felt bad for getting up late too, even though I got up early and they said that I could go back to sleep. I guess they weren’t ready to have breakfast yet. We had breakfast outside on the patio deck, which was nice and pleasant. I hate bugs though, but other than the bugs while I was eating, it was nice. Then we got the house ready for our departure. We left Yamanashi and went back to Tokyo. We wanted to go do something else around the area while we were here but didn’t. We wanted to see where they are testing the linear motor trains, which are the ones that hover on the magnets, but since it was golden week and we know that there will be traffic, we just decided to go back to Tokyo and do something there.
We had hit the Golden Week Traffic on the way home, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. So what we decided to do was go hang out with EK’s friends since I haven’t met any of them. So we drove to Kawasaki where we would meet them at an arcade. It was weird at first because it was just awkward, but then it was much better when we were walking to a café by the place. We were talking more and interacting with each other much better. After I took a deeper look at the girls, I thought it might have been EK’s ex-gf, but I can’t confirm that right now. I met his friends Yuko and Isao. They are currently going out with each other. They were really nice people and it was fun to get along with them. It was a bit difficult for me because after we had dessert, we would go to get dinner. I wanted to go to Bikkuri Donkey, which is a place where they sell hamburg, which is basically hamburger meat, but roasted. But the place that we decided to go to that was in Kawasaki was too close and the couple had just finished eating so they weren’t hungry anymore.
So in the meantime as we were waiting for them to get hungry again, we took a pit stop at EK’s old high school. It was quite large as public high schools usually are. It was interesting to see it from the outside since we weren’t able to go into the inside. It was closed because of Golden week. They wanted to take me to a candy store, but they couldn’t because it was also closed. Then we went to bikkuri donkey, but decided to go to another location. Since the one by their high school was also so close and they weren’t hungry, we went to the location in Tsurumi, but EK got lost many times and it took forever to get there. I had told EK that I wanted to be home by 6pm, but we didn’t even get to the restaurant until 8pm. Then we had dinner, which was quite a bit and almost too much for me. But I was able to eat it and probably gained like 5 pounds or something. But it was delicious and I enjoyed it. Then we started the trip to go home. I know that it’s a difficult task because I live so far away, but EK got lost again to get there. He’s been to my house many times now, more than anyone else, and he’s still incapable of finding my house. He says he has a great sense of direction, but we couldn’t find it until around 11pm and I had work early the next morning so I had to wake up at 4am. I hadn’t prepared the lessons either so I was a bit upset since he was taking a joyride around the town and was very lost. But on a happier note, I think they might set me up on a date with Yuko’s older sister, but kinda just for fun. I’m not sure that it will happen because we were just joking about it.
