A whale of a day
I woke up late today. We needed to do some laundry this morning around 10am, and that’s when I woke up. So I had to take care of that this morning. That didn’t take too much time and while it was washing, I came back and got ready to go meet up with another friend of ours and have lunch. I heard from YSki that after a typhoon the weather is crazy hot, and today it was crazy hot. The top temperature for today would be 34 degrees Celsius and humid. That’s not a lovely combination at all.
While we were waiting for the laundry to finish, we played a little game where I would just play a song from the list that I have and she had to guess what movie it came from. It was a bit difficult because I’m not sure what movies she’s familiar with.
After wards we went to Totsuka station. It was such a hard walk because it was incredibly hot. We finally made it, and arrived a bit late because we were moving slow.
We decided to eat at Bamiyan with TIma. It was a bit comical because all of us ordered the same thing. I ordered my favorite thing at Bamiyan, which is Fried Rice. YSki also ordered Fried Rice because of all the good things I say about the Fried Rice that she wanted to try it out. And TIma ate the Fried Rice because she likes it a lot too. That was interesting and cool in a way. We stayed there for a few hours, about 4 hours just talking and joking around. I haven’t had the opportunity to talk to TIma so it was nice to finally to be able to talk to her.
Then we headed to Shibuya, we jumped on the Shonan-Shinjuku line to get there. It was pretty quick because it only took around 40 minutes to get there. I’m not used to getting there that fast either.
We were going to eat whale tonight and I was a bit excited about it. I know that I’m not much of a humanitarian for doing that, but I really wanted to try it out. Before we did that, we went shopping around. YSki bought herself a brand new bag and sandals and I was able to get some candy and snacks that I’ve been craving for. We went to the Loft and Tokyu Hands and into a bookstore called Libro Books.
We went to a restaurant called Kujira-ya, which translates to Whale restaurant. We first started with the 4,000 yen course for each of us and then we ordered three a la carte dishes about 1,500 yen each. The total for the meal was about 18,800 yen.
It was nice because afterwards we went to get some ice cream at Hagen-daez.
The ride home was horrible. I can’t believe that it took forever. It took an extra hour longer than it normally takes. There was a problem with the signals, so each train had to stop at every station and go one by one and had to wait for the green light by phone to go. A trip that normally takes one hour ended up taking two hours. That was a nightmare.
I came home and was about to sleep, but then I was talking to ICn. I haven’t talked to this sweet girl in a long time. I wanted to know if she was affected by what’s been going on this past week. I think she has and I wanted to see how involved this became. I didn’t end up sleeping till 6am talking and discussing with her what I was planning to do. She really wasn’t happy with my decision, but she could understand. She knows that I wouldn’t make it, if I didn’t have any other choice, but I have to do what must be done.
