a real day off

I spent most of the day sleeping today. I had made a plan to clean up my place and set up my heater because it’s starting to get really cold.

I did end up doing some cleaning and it’s cleaner than before, but not nearly as clean as I would like it. So I’ve got a little more work to do, but my heater is ready to be set up and keep my place warm.

I also got a lot of sleep today. I wanted to talk to some of my friends online, but never got around to doing it. I just got caught up in other stuff like checking e-mail and other websites. That reminds me, I’m a little ticked off. I just read an article today about a new Intel dual core processor for notebooks to be released in the first quarter of 2006. That makes it around February or in about 2 months when I just bought my new laptop online and it will ship with a single core processor. So I’m not happy about that, if I would have waited just a little more I could really have a top of the line computer. Damn them!!! But I’m thinking about upgrading a lot of my laptop parts when they come out with new stuff. 2006 will be a revolutionary year for computing, there’s so many things coming out that it’s hard to keep track of. But it’s going to be good. The chip I’m referring to is Intel Pentium D, or the Viive series. It’s based on the Centrino series, but I like that I’m only getting a Pentium M. I think that’s a notch better than Centrino, but I would have liked the dual core processing. Sorry that was my geek moment.

I paid my rent today, a day late, but it was ok. She told me that her son will be coming back tomorrow. So that’s good, I survived living in Japan without an English speaker for a year, so I’ll be fine I think. We decided that we need to look into finding some more blankets and futon mats for when my family comes later this month. I’m afraid that we don’t have enough to cover it and everyone.

I later wanted to get the new cell phone that I’ve been raving about. It’s pretty neat and has all the functions that I want except for TV, but that’s just an extra and not an important part. Since I found a store that sells it cheap I’d like to buy from there. But when I got there it was closed already. So I’ll have to buy it another day. I met up with EK at Ishikawacho station since he was in the Yokohama area getting his cell phone too. He was about one hour late to meet up with me. He arrived just before I was about to leave his sorry ass. We had dinner at MOS burger and talked till around 11pm. It was good and he wasn’t annoying me today, so that was good too. I finally paid off all my debts and I’m debt-free, although I’m a bit worried because I spent more money in November than I made and that’s a first for me.

I came home and contemplated about cutting my hair, but never got around to it and then I typed up two entries for this journal. I need to finish up all the older ones and then put them online since I’m falling really far behind on that. It’s about 1am now, and I have to get up in 5 hours, so I’m going to bed now. Good night.
