Jeopardy / Lost my internet
Today’s senior class lesson was a game of Jeopardy. Based on the popular television show that I’ve watched many years in the U.S., I thought it would be good to bring it into the classroom here in Japan. I’ve been preparing questions for a long time and asking all the teachers whether they thought it would be too hard or too easy. I was shocked to find out that all my questions were too easy for the students, which in fact they were. So during the break, my partner and I worked on making more difficult questions. I added some really hard questions on there too. Just to be an ass, but I thought it would be funny too. Which in fact, it was. They said that they hated me after the class because I had included some ridiculously hard questions. But I wanted to get them to think, I had asked all the other teachers in the office that question too and everyone got it wrong. It was a trick question that’s why.
The questions that I asked related to the things that we’ve been doing in the previous classes. I had worked with other teachers to figure out what they were doing so I could ask questions about topics that we didn’t cover in my class, but would be good to test their memory. It was good that everything was tied together and I think they really learned a lot over the course of the past two weeks.
When I went home I found out that there was a problem with my internet. I thought that I was my computer at first and I wanted to go online to help RWd find the best way to get to the airport and get some information too. But I couldn’t so I figured that when he left I would go over to MTki’s house and see what was going on. I can’t live without the internet, so I really don’t like it.
