Drinking with the red shoes

I didn’t do very much for the beginning of the day. I’m finally glad that I was able to eat a healthier lunch today. It was actually a bento lunch, but much better than the crap that I’ve been eating lately. It’s actually very bad and I’m not feeling any better about it either. But it was very nice to actually have food in my stomach today, I mean before I went out and went to the drinking party with the members of the red shoes organization.

It wasn’t a really celebration, but more of a good bye party for APa who will be leaving Japan on Monday. That was really fast because I remember seeing him the first day that he arrived in Japan and that wasn’t too long ago even though it was last month. Time just flew by so quickly that it’s hard to even get a sense of how fast it went by. We went to wara wara for dinner and drinks. It started at 7pm and we needed to leave by around 9:15pm or so. We had our own room with a karaoke machine although it wasn’t used at all. We were trying to push APa to sing a song before he left Japan, since it’s the most Japanese thing you could do, but he didn’t go for it. The food there was pretty good, but the desserts weren’t very good at all. I was very disappointed because they looked like the egg tarts that I love in San Diego and miss them so much, and then when I ate it, it was so dry and tasted nasty. I was very disappointed. The price wasn’t so bad since everyone got free drinks and as much as we could drink for the two hour time limit.

There was an after party too. We were going to go play with fireworks. EK decided to chicken out and go home early so he could get rest. But I think it’s because he didn’t want to walk very far to the park we were going to play with the fireworks. We were playing with the fireworks till 11:30pm. It really didn’t seem like we were playing with it that long, but I guess we were. Then we naturally had to go back to Yokohama station to catch the train back home. It was raining really hard at one point when we were at the station, but then it stopped soon thereafter. It’s really weird the weather here, so one of the guys offered me a ride home. But when we got back to his station, I think he wasn’t planning on taking me home, but I wanted to get a ride from him because I wanted to see how he could drive. It was good to get a chance to talk to him some more and get at least some what of an exercise before he drove me home. He drives pretty well, which is good… even though we were all drinking tonight. He was very sober soon afterwards, and actually the alcohol only affected one person, the prez, KHma.

When I got home, I took a shower and started doing something I haven’t done in a long time. I went into a chat room. I go into one that I’m a group member of. It’s for people who are interested in Japan and is open to those that want to learn English / Japanese. So I go in there from time to time. Tonight was pretty good. I like talking to the hosts, they are very interesting people and it’s much better talking to them than to other people who are just acting stupid because we don’t know who they are. But the hosts tonight don’t tolerate that type of activity and they get the boot. That was funny to see actually. I stayed up till around 4am doing this. It was good and I had a chance to type my journal entry too. I wanted to drink more today, I felt like I didn’t get enough alcohol in the system. That’s a weird feeling to have especially since I don’t drink. I was even drinking beer tonight, and I hate beer. It probably could explain why I can’t sleep just yet, but I’m not sure.
