Hualien Ocean Park
Hualien Ocean Park was the only thing that we did today. We also went to another place that’s near the park too; it was the hotel that we were considering staying at. At first we thought that we would just leave the park and go somewhere else, but then we scrapped that idea since there wasn’t anything near that we could go to or to do. So we stayed at the park for a little while. We did some roller coasters there and played some games. I played a basketball game and got a two game total of 151 points, which is the most I’ve ever gotten and I think that’s pretty impressive.
We had lunch at a restaurant on the premises and it turned out horrible. The taste was just nasty. It is probably the worst thing that I’ve eaten since I’ve been in Taiwan. From there, we did some shopping for souvenirs. I wanted to get some things for my friends and for some teachers at my school. I couldn’t find enough good gifts to give away since they didn’t have that many things for sell and their shopping district was very limiting. I did manage to get a few things though, so I was happy about that.
We took a bus to the Belle Vista Hotel at top of the hill above\r\n the theme park. The hotel was very luxurious. We had a cake set at the hotel, which is probably one of the more expensive things that we¡¦ve done here in Taiwan. We had to walk back to the bus which is at the base of the mountain. It took a little bit of time to get there since we were so far up, but we took a little shortcut and crossed a bridge that was only for use of the staff. We did it anyways and were able to arrive at the bus with just enough time to get good seats on the bus. I was talking to some of the other passengers while Eigo slept on the way to the train station. I got really annoyed with\r\n Eigo today. It was pretty bad too and I haven¡¦t talked to him all night since we boarded the train till now. The train ride back was very quiet since I didn¡¦t talk to him. I think that it was all the things that were adding up that led to this happening. I just got tired of it yesterday and last night especially and was getting offended by him. He was being stupid and his overconfidence in himself was really unappealing. He just had a bad attitude towards everything and it really pissed me off so I just took it easy and just let things be. I didn¡¦t want to blow up in his face since that wouldn¡¦t be cool of me, but to not do anything was probably not good either. ",1]

I think that the thing that really bothers me is that he\r\n can¡¦t take care of things. He couldn¡¦t make decisions and that really slowed down the process. I feel that my greatest mistake was allowing him to come with me on this trip. I hardly regret, but that¡¦s my regret. Since the beginning I knew that bad things would happen and that I would end up not enjoying my trip, like I do now, but I didn¡¦t know how things would turn out. At the beginning of the week, things were looking good. He was bad, but within tolerable levels. The first problem that I had with him was that he bought the tickets way too late and we lost a day because of it. I mean, I did enjoy the symposium and got a chance to see my friends and develop a stronger relationship with them, but still, I lost a\r\n day I could have spent in Taiwan. He defense was that he put the blame on the company and said they had mixed up the airplane flight times, but it wouldn¡¦t have happened if he had just followed my instructions to buy the airline tickets in October. He waited to the beginning of this week to pay for it, how ridiculous is that? When we got back home, I was watching TV and one of the movies said something that really did say it for me. It¡¦s easier to remember a phone\r\n number than it is to forget it. ",1]
