Back to work

I was sluggish all day and just tired. I dragged myself through the day and don’t really remember too much.

The first class was with 9th grade Yuri. We started them on shopping and getting them ready for their test on shopping next week.

The 4th period class was with the 11th graders Ran, I decided to hurry up my schedule so I could just do more fun activities near the end of the year and not have them worry about a test all the time. So we started the section on going abroad and I introduced a new method that they aren’t used to. I wanted to hear them speak English and research about a trip that they want to go on anywhere in the world. I brought some brochures so that they could research them, but they didn’t understand my instructions very well. They understood what I expected, but didn’t understand what I wanted them to do. I gave them a paper, but that confused them a little. But in the end it all worked out and I think that they will enjoy the next section.

The last class of the day was with 7th grade yuri. We just read from their scripts and had them practice and get ready for the English festival next week. They did a fairly good job with remembering their lines, but not the best.

During my break period, I had to fix some problems with the CD’s that CP made for the 8th grade speech contest. There were some weird noises on the CD’s that made it hard for the students to listen to after the track had finished. That wasn’t too hard to fix, but there was one that did give me a little trouble. There was one CD that left out a few sentences so I had to merge two sound files together, but I didn’t have the software to make it work. So I decided to take it home to work on it there.
When I got home, I didn’t work on that though. I had a billion other things to work on. I needed to do laundry and pay bills. So I took care of those first and threw out all the trash that was piled up before I left. And I saw an episode of everyone loves Raymond. I also talked to EK for a little bit because we needed to talk about the cell phone that I want to buy. But he didn’t talk to his friend for me. But that didn’t matter, I was just happy that I was able to take care of everything today that I wanted to take care of. I wanted to go to the bank today to get some money, but I forgot my debit card at home, so I will have to do that tomorrow.
