Rest day 2

Today was the second rest day that we took this week. My family has been tired recently and I’m not sure of the reason why. We have done a lot this week and I think that since the trip is winding down, that more rest and time off is good. Today was the first day of rain in the winter in the Yokohama area. Or at least up until I remember for the winter time in this area. That was one of the reasons why we didn’t go out today and the other reason was that everyone woke up after noon today. Getting a late start and not having sunlight and feasible weather to travel through make it tough to go out. We also didn’t have many more places to visit either since the only things left to see are Shinjuku, my school and Tokyo DisneySea.

So what did we do at home you ask? Well, we watched a few DVDs and spent time on the computer. I really can’t get away from the computer at all. I don’t know what I would do without one. We watched Meet the Parents today, which was good since it was funny comedy that everyone could enjoy. Then my sisters watched the Korean DVD that I have called Love Story… in Japanese and The Classic in the Taiwan version. I think my sisters liked it and so did my mom. I was in the computer working on some stuff and getting myself some anti-virus protection. It’s nice to have my mom here because she does cook often and I always have access to food without too much work, which is great. They used up all the water that I bought for emergency reasons though. So I’ll have to get more before they leave so they could help me carry it.

We finished the day watching some Japanese TV programs on Channel 4 that had the camera follow around some kids as they tried to complete some tasks that their parents ask them to do. It is a good show and quite interesting the capabilities that kids have. By this time it was already 11:30pm and we all planned to sleep early so we could get up early to go to Tokyo DisneySea, but we all still needed to shower and clean up too. So we did that and I typed up this entry. They already started to pack to get ready to leave. It was a bit weird that in a few days they will be leaving for America. I think that now that they came here, I will miss them being around. But it is a new year and a new opportunity to take on new challenges that lie in front of me.
