Early Wednesday

I have to get up at 5am. I haven’t gotten in the habit of going to sleep early, so this will be a challenge. I do have one less class today though, so that’s good.

The good thing about today is that my schedule has been reduced from 5 classes to 4. So I have a lot of free time in the middle of the day. I don’t really like that actually. I preferred to have just one class off on Wednesday because now I have an extra two hours where I’m at school with nothing to do really.

The first class I had today was with 11^th grade yuri. We worked on finishing up their going abroad report with me giving them the last two questions to work on and filling out the test paper for their oral exam. We spent the majority of class working on that. They got to use the travel brochures for the last time.

The second class was with 8^th grade yuri. We worked on lesson 9 in the expressways book and talked about hobbies.

The third period class was with 10^th grade fuji. We started a new topic today on the Environment. I thought that it was a pretty good topic and something different than the usual ones.

The last class of the day for me was with 9^th grade Fuji. This was actually the first time that I go before CP and lead the class. I didn’t do such a great job at it since the topic itself wasn’t very good and I didn’t have much teaching to do since it was all review and most of the things we were reviewing were in Japanese. I think that it was a tad bit easy for them and they got bored really fast. I should have changed the approach a bit more and been more fun about it, but I didn’t. I wasted time and we didn’t have enough time to work in it the right way.

I stayed after school to work on a few things and learned that I have to redo all the forms for the speech contest that I thought I had finished before winter vacation, but apparently I didn’t. I decided to take it home though since I have a computer with an English version program and it would be easier for me to navigate through.
