First day of snow in Tokyo
Ok, today was really cold in the morning because it was snowing!!! I’m really excited about that, but the problem I had in the morning was thinking about if I could get to work or not. I had to walk really slowly so I didn’t fall down. The heels of my shoes have developed a hole that I was unaware of and all the snow was making my socks wet, which isn’t very good since it was cold and now my feet were wet too.
The first two classes I had dealt with the same topic. I taught the student what she wanted to learn, through English and for her to learn vocabulary and how things connect with each other. I wanted her to start thinking like a person from the west and to get out of the usual just listen and absorb kind of learning. I think that she really enjoys the class because, even though it’s about 2 and half hours, she still says it goes by fast. I’m actually really happy to hear that.
