Graduation party at the Imperial Hotel

Today, the only plan is to go to the imperial hotel in the evening and eat a lot of good food and enjoy the entertainment. It is a nice way to say congratulations to the students for their hard work over the past 6 years, and 3 years for some. I think that they will enjoy it and I look forward to taking some pictures with them.

To be honest with you, I didn’t get much to eat. It was a shame because the food was good and it would be the last time that I would go to one of these things. I did get some pictures with some students, which I’m really surprised at since I only taught this graduating class a few times and that was years ago. I don’t really remember much from those classes or even their names, so I was a bit surprised. I found out at the party that most of the teachers don’t really teach them. The program was nice and it was interesting that I was on my own to find my way there. I’m not sure why that is either. I think that it could have been because it was my day off and they didn’t want me to go to school and then go to the imperial hotel. Either way actually would have been fine with me though. I have been scaling back my actions at work. Everyone was dressed very nice and it was a great ceremony for them and their last time together to celebrate before their graduation ceremony.

It’s very interesting how they do things like that in Japan.
