Getting things ready
Today was all about preparation. I worked on getting up early, and I’m not sure if it worked or not. I tried to get up at 7am today to get my sleeping patterns back on course, but I probably went back to sleep, but can’t really remember. I spent the rest of the day working. Isn’t that weird, it is spring break and I’m working, even though I don’t know if everything will change when I go to school tomorrow to get my schedule.
It was raining a lot to day and pretty hard too. So I didn’t feel like going out. I think that the weather yesterday was cold, but at least it was clear. It was perfect for Ohanami. So today I also stayed at the computer watching the commercials for ESPN sportscenter. It was great. I miss ESPN. It was such a great network and they are just funny as hell.
I made the syllabus for the 11th grade based on the limited information that I have already received. After I punched out the syllabus for them, I started working on the material I will use for them too. I made a little booklet for them to use instead of the textbook because I don’t like the textbooks that they have here in Japan. So I took it upon myself to get out the things that I want to teach and for them to learn. It is a bit more advanced for them, topic wise, but I think that I have simplified it enough for them to be able to swallow it and be able to spit it back out. It’s worth a shot anyways. I spent a lot of time working on this about 4-5 hours.
While I was working on this, I was talking to my good friend ICn. She could tell that I was excited about my next semester teaching. I was talking about it a lot with her and she was helping me out too. So I was happy about that. It was a good conversation, and she wanted to know when I would go back to San Diego. I told her that it would be sometime before her birthday. I wouldn’t want to miss that. I do miss her a lot and I’m glad that we have stayed friends. It sounds like she’s well and good.
Then I started packing for the trip to Hakone tomorrow. I just got the clothes that I needed and cleaned out my travel kit a bit. I got rid of the things that are a bit old and replaced everything new. It is much better now and I will be ready for my future trips.
I made dinner soon after that, but didn’t over make the food tonight since I know that I won’t be here tomorrow to finish the rest of it. So I made enough for tonight. I was watching Charlie’s Angels full throttle on TV tonight, but only caught about 15 minutes of it before I couldn’t take it anymore. After that I had to get to sleep soon since it was already getting late. But I can’t sleep now and it’s midnight. In America, I would lose an hour because today is the day to turn your clocks ahead, but we don’t do that here in Japan. I only have 6 more hours to sleep and get up, but I’m sure that I won’t be ready and won’t get enough sleep tonight. Damn, my sleeping patterns are all messed up.
