Grant and Chandra's Sayonara party and English teachers welcome party

Well, I got a rude awakening today. I got a call from my family at 6am. They thought it was 9am, but I guess their clock is broken. I talked to them for a little bit and decided that it would be best to go back next weekend, and only for the weekend. I need to research prices and everything though. I will probably bring back half of all my clothes here and other things too.

I got lost for a bit because the directions that were given were pretty bad. I got there later than I wanted, about an hour because I left my house late and couldn’t find the place for a little bit. I ran into a couple of other people on their way there and that’s how I eventually found it. There were 70 people at the apartment, which was really large for Japan. It was really nice too. I was talking to only a few people. There was this one girl that I was talking with a lot. She was cute, but I didn’t make a move or anything. I have a problem with stringing things along, meaning I don’t like to drag things out longer than necessary. I really enjoyed the party though, which was something that surprised me. There was toy story on the TV for the little kids that I started to get addicted to too. It was a bit interesting since I was watching the video too, but I was watching it from afar. I was standing next to all the food… hehe.

The left the party late, so we arrived at the dinner for the new English teachers late too. But we weren’t as late as I thought we would be. It was only about 10 minutes even though we left much later than I would have liked. I got lucky and sat with a lot of the teachers that I’m closer with, but for some reason, I didn’t feel like talking much. I was very quiet for most of the night. I was very distracted by a lot of things, and I didn’t really like the distraction part. I’m not sure what it was either. The food was really good though. It might have been very expensive since it was a French restaurant. We got some bread, which was pretty good too. It wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was good. I ordered steak which was excellent. We got green pea soup, with scallops, which was pretty good too. The first dish was grilled fish, but raw in the middle which turned out nice and was really tasty. The dessert was Orange sherbet ice cream on top of a French Toast like bread, which was a little too much flavor for me. I stuffed it down, but it was hard to ingest.
