My sister's birthday and the moment of truth for me

Today is a big day because I find out whether or not I will go to UC Berkeley in the fall 2006 semester. I’m really hoping for good news, but I really don’t expect it since they waited to the last day to let me know. That is a sign that bad news is on its way for me. But I can’t count it out till the fat lady sings, so I will just have to wait it out.

Well the fat lady sung and it wasn’t pretty. I was pretty lethargic today and really didn’t want to do much. The weather was rainy and cold, which was a perfect fit for today. My sister turns 22 today, which is a happy moment for her at least I would think so. So things are pretty much set that I will go to UCLA this fall semester. I’m trying to get myself prepared to go back to school and at a higher level than I was at before. I was pretty much on my own today, not talking to anyone or having contact with anyone. That is usually rare for my days off, but in San Diego people are getting ready for graduation and finals. In Japan, everyone is on a trip out of town because of Golden Week. The weather was pretty miserable today, so I didn’t go out myself.

I still haven’t heard anything from UCSB, but it doesn’t matter since it is my 4th choice and I have already been accepted by my 2nd and 3rd choice. I’m happy that now I will be able to plan out the rest of the future, at least for the next few years. The plan now is to leave in middle August or late August so I could get back to San Diego and chill for a little bit and then go apartment hunting around Westwood.

Today was very weird though. I have waited about 6 years for today and it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. I don’t regret it though since I did give it a shot and gave it my all too. It’s nice that it’s finally over with and now I can start to plan out things for the future. Things are now set and now I have to do the best with what I have.

The weather was quite cold for even spring after yesterday was freaking hot. Today the rain set in and the clouds and cool temperatures covered the Yokohama and Tokyo areas. I had a big headache today because of the weather change. At least I think it was because of the weather change and how drastic it was. I wonder what it will be like tomorrow though.
