My plan for Amsterdam

I was mainly working on the flight plan for my trip to Amsterdam. I made the decision today that I will go and pay the large amount that is asked of me for a few reasons. It is one of the few times probably in my life that I will have a chance to go and the money for it. My friend is there and will show me around at least for a little while. It will be my first time to Europe. It will probably be the cheapest price I’ll ever pay to go to Europe too. It’s still a lot, but under a grand for the plane tickets, which I think is pretty good. I could have saved an extra $100 if I booked it early, but I guess I’ll have to pay it since I’m buying it less than a week before I take off.

I’ve been weighing in on this decision for a long time. I could have used the money to pay off some of the school since I won’t get financial aid this year and probably next year too. I mean, but I think I could always get a loan for that and pay it off when I start to make money again. So I should just go. I also decided where I will stay. I decided that it would be more of an adventure to stay at a youth hostel, which is something foreign for me. I’m not sure how they run, but I’ve read some good things about the one I plan to stay at. It is a little bit far from the city center, but it should still be nice with breakfast included and about $80 for two nights in pricey Amsterdam. So I do save some money there, which will be nice.

Since I was planning to go to the travel agency today, I was getting things ready to go, but I remembered that I needed to pick up my suit at the dry cleaners, so I did that before, and then forgot my coupon and decided that I didn’t have enough time to get there to pay and talk about things, so I will have to go tomorrow after work, but that means I have to leave work early, which I’m not sure if that is possible. But at the very latest, I could go Wednesday morning. By then I will have more of an idea of what I want to do while I’m there. I got most of the things taken care of already though.

I went shopping for groceries tonight to supplement my dinner. I wanted some fruit, but didn’t end up getting any since they didn’t seem that fresh and they didn’t have what I wanted. So I will go to a different one tomorrow. I watched some TV tonight, although I didn’t see what I wanted to see. I was distracted by Amsterdam for most of the day. I talked to my sister for a little bit today too. She is having wireless internet problems. But I couldn’t help her with that since I’m here and usually I tried things out through trial and error. But perhaps later, I will work on that. It’s very late now, about 1am and I have to get up early tomorrow so I’m going to bed now.
