China Town, Hanging out
Well I got back late last night so I was tired, but I still had to get up early to check out. The check out time was at 10am, so after I checked out, I hung out in the lobby, checking email and eating breakfast. After that, it was about 11am and I decided to walk to Central Station.
I had an appointment to met SEK at noon so we could head out to the Hague, but we never ended up going. There was a bank holiday today so all the embassies were closed today. We decided to drop my stuff off at her place. Before we did, we stopped off at the grocery store to get some food for the next few days. I bought a lot of my souvenirs there for my co-workers and other people. It was a lot of stuff and really became heavy. After we finished the shopping, we went to a really excellent soup place. I got tomato soup, which was really good. We also had a rather large salad.
When we finished, we went back to her place and then just hung out there. I didn’t realize how long we stayed there though. Time really went by so quickly. We were talking about our friends in San Diego. It was such an interesting conversation. Something I felt I’ve never had with SEK before in San Diego. It was nice to have it though.
We left her place around 8pm to have dinner with her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s brother Jimmy and his Japanese friends Shinobu and Maki. We went to a Thai restaurant next to the Red Light District in the China District. The food there was really good. It was called Bird restaurant but the service there wasn’t very good. I ordered Pad Thai, which was too much for me to finish. I really can’t eat all that much food anymore.
We talked during dinner and after we had finished, we headed over to a Dutch pub to have some drinks. Shinobu and Maki could only have one before they needed to leave to pack to travel some more. We stayed after a little while longer to hang out and talk.
Around midnight, we left the pub and then we headed over to a club where her final party was being held for all of the international students. I think tonight was more fun than it was last night. I think it was because I was more familiar with the people there since I had met more of them earlier this week. We stayed till around 2:30am. Then we started to head home. I was really exhausted at this point, but didn’t want to take away from SEK’s fun since it would be one of the last times she could hang out with her friends. It was a bit colder today than it has been recently. I slept in her bed since, we forgot to grab an extra mattress earlier today. After a shower, I died.
